World Latte Art Champion Christopher "Nicely" Abel Alameda's laid-back café proves to be a standout gem for a good brew in a sea of tourists and souvenir vendors in the heart of the Venice Beach Boardwalk. A "chic shack" may be the most whimsical way to describe Menotti's Coffee Stop thanks to its small quarters of clean, white tiled walls, along with an endearingly adorable turquoise espresso machine gleaming from the bar.

A stack of records on display confirm that this is essentially Alameda's second home. While Menotti's lack of seating definitely encourages more of a grab-and-go vibe, you're still welcome to grab a seat at the communal bar space as you sip on espresso-milk classics and some good ol' drip. If you charm the baristas enough, perhaps you'll even be granted access to the secret menu, a sweet array of coffee cocktail-like beverages like the "Cafe Rico" and a charcoal latte.

The best part is that the waves are less than a ten minute walk away; cold brew and sandcastles prove to be a winning pairing.
