Mecca’s Alexandria roasting space has, for the last couple of years, benefited from the addition of a café space at the front of the building. The fit out for this bright space is sympathetic to the buildings industrial roots. 

The food is always on point here, whether it be a simple poached egg on Iggy’s sourdough or a salad built around some house made fermented veg and pickles. 

Make your way down to the back of the building and past the cupping lab, you’ll find a pair of beautiful old Probat roasters. Mecca has a real focus on sourcing and selecting some great coffees from a range of different origins and the café is a great place to see this process reach it’s final stage in the cup. Milk drinks are run on a seasonal blend, delivering lots of chocolate and hazelnut flavours. Single origin offerings are available as espresso, batch, and pour over; they won’t disappoint. The staff here are very knowledgable, approachable, and happy to guide you through the coffee offerings.
